Acquired through a variety of sources although the bulk of the collection was acquired from the Marketing Department.
Scope and content
The collection consists of over 22,000 items, primarily in negative and slide format, documenting the history of Kwantlen College, Kwantlen University College and Kwantlen Polytechnic University; includes images of administrators, faculty, staff, students, visitors, campuses, events.

Physical condition of the print photographs and negatives does vary but generally can be described as in good condition

Arrangement
Photographs in the print collection are filed either chronologically or by subject where possible to facilitate on-site browsing. Otherwise they are filed by accession order by number.
Photographs in the Andrew McAdam series are primarily in negative format. The negatives are organized in binders and organized into 4 series:
- pre 1982 (Douglas College) - by Campus/Program
- 1982-1995 (Kwantlen College) - Numerical/chronological order
- M number [M for Marketing?]
- Miscellaneous Category
Campus/Program negatives focus primarily on Fashion Design shows and the Newton Campus trades programs from pre-Kwantlen days up until 1982. Negatives are housed in negative sleeves within binders. Labelling system consists of contact sheet #, negative # (e.g. 145-3A). Where available, a contact sheet is housed with the appropriate negatives.
