Scope and content

Photos in this collection document the opening ceremony of Surrey Campus Phase II. President Skip Triplett was presented with a cedar headband followed by a blanketing ceremony. Darlene Willier, Coordinator of Services for Aboriginal Students, placed the blanket on Triplett. Elder John O'Leary accompanied by Lekeyten (later to become KPU Elder in Residence ) blessed the land and the people at the ceremony, followed by a salmon feast.
